🥚 Air Fryer Poached Eggs
Ingredients:
- 2–4 fresh eggs (as many as fit in your air fryer)
- Hot water (enough to fill ramekins halfway)
- Nonstick cooking spray or a little oil
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer:
Set it to 350°F (175°C) and let it preheat for 3–5 minutes. - Prepare the ramekins:
- Lightly spray each small, oven-safe ramekin (or silicone muffin cup) with nonstick spray or brush with oil.
- Pour in about 2 tablespoons of hot water into each ramekin.
- Crack the eggs:
Gently crack one egg into each ramekin. Be careful not to break the yolk. - Air fry:
- Place the ramekins in the air fryer basket.
- Cook at 350°F (175°C) for 5–6 minutes for soft, runny yolks, or 7–8 minutes for firmer yolks.
- Air fryer times can vary slightly — check at 5 minutes for doneness.
- Remove carefully:
Use tongs or a towel to lift the ramekins out (they’ll be hot!).
Let sit for 1 minute — the eggs will continue to cook slightly in the hot water. - Serve:
Use a spoon to lift the poached eggs out of the water.
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and serve on toast, over avocado, or with a salad.
Tips:
- For perfectly shaped eggs, make sure the water in each ramekin just covers the egg white.
- If your air fryer runs hot, reduce the temperature to 330°F (165°C).
- You can add a splash of vinegar to the water to help the whites set faster (optional).
