Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake

🍓 Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake

⏱️ Total Time: 45–50 minutes

🍽️ Serves: 8–10

Ingredients

  • 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

🔹 Step 1: Preheat

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.

🔹 Step 2: Layer the Filling

  1. Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly on the bottom of the baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, beat together the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Dollop or spread the cream cheese mixture over the pie filling layer.

🔹 Step 3: Add the Cake Mix

  • Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the cream cheese layer — do not mix.

🔹 Step 4: Add the Butter

  • Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the dry cake mix.
(Try to cover as much as possible — this helps everything bake up golden and crisp.)

🔹 Step 5: Bake

  • Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.
  • Let it cool slightly before serving — the creamy, fruity layers will set a bit as it cools.

🔹 Step 6: Serve

  • Serve warm or at room temperature.
  • Top with whipped cream, fresh strawberries, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence. 🍦

💡 Tips & Variations

  • Make it chocolatey: Use a chocolate or strawberry cake mix instead of yellow.
  • Crunchy topping: Sprinkle crushed graham crackers or chopped nuts before baking.
  • Creamier texture: Add a few spoonfuls of sweetened condensed milk over the cake mix before baking.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in the fridge (covered) for up to 4 days. Reheat slightly before serving.
