- Lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish.
2. Brown the pork chops (optional but adds flavor)
- Heat a skillet with a little oil.
- Sear pork chops 2–3 minutes per side until lightly browned.
(You can skip this step and bake raw — still delicious.)

✔ cream of chicken soup
✔ chicken broth
✔ onion soup mix
✔ pepper & garlic powder (optional)
Stir until smooth.
4. Assemble the dish
- Lay the pork chops in the baking dish.
- Pour the sauce over the top.
- Add sliced onions or mushrooms on top if using.
5. Bake
- Cover the dish with foil.
- Bake 1 hour (up to 1 hour 15 min for very thick chops) until tender.
- Remove foil during the last 10 minutes if you want the top to brown slightly.
6. Serve
Serve chops with plenty of the gravy-style sauce.
Best served with:
- Mashed potatoes
- Rice
- Egg noodles
- Steamed veggies
💡 Tips & Variations
Creamier version
Add ½ cup sour cream to the sauce before baking.
Add potatoes
Place sliced potatoes or baby potatoes in the dish under the chops.
They cook in the sauce and turn buttery-soft.
Add mushrooms
Stir in a can of sliced mushrooms or 1 cup fresh mushrooms.
For boneless chops
Reduce baking time to 45–50 minutes.
