🍔 HAMBURGER STEAKS WITH ONION GRAVY
Ingredients
⭐ For the Hamburger Steaks
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 egg
½ cup breadcrumbs
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Salt & pepper to taste
1–2 tbsp oil for frying
⭐ For the Onion Gravy
2 large onions, sliced
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp oil
2 tbsp flour
2 cups beef broth
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
🔹 1. Make the Hamburger Steaks
Mix ground beef, chopped onion, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Form into 4 oval patties.
Heat oil in a skillet and brown patties on both sides.
Remove and set aside.
🔹 2. Make the Onion Gravy
In the same skillet, melt butter with oil.
Add sliced onions and cook until soft and golden.
Add flour and stir for 1 minute.
Slowly pour in beef broth while stirring.
Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
Let it thicken slightly.
🔹 3. Combine & Finish
Return the hamburger steaks to the gravy.
Cover and simmer for 15–20 minutes.
Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
