  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken OR cream of cheddar soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Optional: 1 cup sour cream (for extra creaminess)
  • Optional: parsley or green onions for topping

🥣 Instructions

1. Preheat oven

  1. Preheat to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 baking dish.

2. Cook the hamburger mixture

  1. In a skillet, cook ground beef + onion over medium heat until browned.
  2. Drain excess grease.
  3. Add garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  4. Stir and cook 1 more minute.

3. Make the creamy sauce

  1. In a large bowl, mix together:
    • Cream of mushroom soup
    • Cream of chicken (or cheddar) soup
    • Milk
    • Sour cream (optional)
  2. Stir until smooth.

4. Assemble the casserole

  1. Layer half the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the baking dish.
  2. Spread half the cooked beef over them.
  3. Pour half the creamy sauce over the top.
  4. Sprinkle 1 cup cheese.
  5. Repeat with the remaining potatoes, beef, sauce, and finish with the remaining cheese.

5. Bake
