🍋🫚 Ginger Water (Simple, Healthy, Digestive-Boosting Drink)
Makes: 4 cups
Time: 10 minutes simmer + 10 minutes cooling
⭐ Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 2–3 tbsp fresh ginger root, peeled & thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional but great for flavor)
- 1–2 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1–2 mint leaves (optional)
- Pinch of turmeric or black pepper (optional)
🧑🍳 Instructions
1. Prepare the Ginger
Peel the ginger using a spoon and slice it thinly so it releases more flavor and nutrients.
2. Simmer
In a small pot, add:
- 4 cups water
- sliced ginger
Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer 10–15 minutes.
3. Strain
Remove from heat, let cool 5 minutes, then strain out the ginger slices.
4. Add Flavor (Optional)
Stir in:
- lemon juice
- a little honey (if you prefer it lightly sweetened)
- mint
- turmeric
5. Serve
Enjoy warm or cold.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours.
