šŸŽšŸ¤¤ 5-Minute Apple Pie Dessert (Only 3 Apples + 2 Eggs!)

Ultra-easy • Mix in one bowl • Soft, rich, and apple-packed

Serves: 6–8 • Prep: 5 minutes • Bake: 35–40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • A pinch of salt
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 50 g (3.5 tbsp) melted butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • Optional:
    • ½ tsp cinnamon
    • Powdered sugar for dusting

⭐ Instructions

1. Prep

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a small round cake pan, tart dish, or 8-inch baking pan.
  3. Peel the apples and slice them very thin (this is what gives the dessert its creamy, rich texture).

2. Make the Batter (5 minutes!)

In a mixing bowl:

  1. Beat eggs + sugar + pinch of salt until slightly foamy.
  2. Add lemon zest and melted butter; mix well.
  3. Add the flour and stir until smooth.
    • Batter will be thin—this is correct.

3. Add the Apples

  • Add all the thinly sliced apples into the bowl.
  • Fold them into the batter until every slice is coated.
  • You should have more apples than batter—this is what creates the ā€œcustard-pieā€ texture.

4. Pour and Bake

  1. Pour the mixture into your prepared pan and spread evenly.
  2. Bake 35–40 minutes, or until:
    • The top is lightly golden
    • The center is set
    • A toothpick comes out clean

5. Serve

Let cool for 10 minutes, then slice.
Serve:

  • warm, with powdered sugar
  • or with vanilla ice cream
  • or with whipped cream

This dessert is rich, custardy, apple-forward, and unbelievably simple.

Tips & Variations

  • Add ½ tsp cinnamon or nutmeg for a classic apple-pie flavor.
  • Replace lemon zest with orange zest for a sweeter aroma.
  • Add a handful of raisins or crushed walnuts for texture.
  • Use pear slices instead of apples for a variation.
