๐ Pineapple Cranberry Holiday Cheese Log
Sweet + tart + savory = the perfect festive appetizer!
Ingredients (12 servings)
Cheese Log Mixture
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup crushed pineapple, well-drained
- 1/3 cup dried cranberries, chopped
- 1/4 cup green onions, finely sliced
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
Coating
- 1/3 cup chopped pecans (or walnuts)
- 2 tbsp dried cranberries, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp parsley, chopped (optional for color)
๐ฅฃ Instructions
1. Mix the cheese base
In a medium bowl, combine:
- softened cream cheese
- shredded cheddar
- crushed pineapple
- chopped cranberries
- green onions
- garlic powder, salt, and pepper
Mix until completely combined. (A hand mixer on low helps!)
2. Shape the cheese log
Transfer the mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap.
Shape into a log (or ball).
Wrap tightly and refrigerate at least 2 hours, or until firm.
3. Prepare the coating
On a plate, combine:
- chopped pecans
- chopped cranberries
- parsley (optional)
4. Roll to coat
Unwrap the chilled cheese log and roll it gently in the nut mixture until fully covered.
Press lightly so the coating sticks well.
5. Serve
Serve chilled or at cool room temperature with:
- buttery crackers
- pretzel crisps
- sliced baguette
- apple slices

- Nut-free option: Replace nuts with crushed pretzels or toasted breadcrumbs.
- Extra pineapple flavor: Add 1โ2 tbsp pineapple juice but only if the cheese mixture can still firm up.
- Make ahead: Can be made 2โ3 days in advance; add the coating just before serving for best texture.
