🍲 Easy Dumpling Soup
Ingredients
For the soup
- 6 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or salt to taste)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional but delicious)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger (optional)
- 1 cup mixed vegetables
(carrots, peas, corn, spinach, or bok choy)
For the dumplings (quick & easy)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ cup water (add gradually)
OR use store-bought frozen dumplings for extra convenience
Instructions
1️⃣ Make the Soup
- Bring broth to a gentle boil in a pot
- Add soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger
- Add vegetables and simmer 5 minutes
2️⃣ Make Dumplings (If Homemade)
- Mix flour, salt, baking powder
- Add water slowly to form a soft dough
- Scoop small spoonfuls (don’t roll)
3️⃣ Cook Dumplings
- Drop dumplings into gently boiling soup
- Cook 5–7 minutes until they float and puff up
4️⃣ Finish & Serve
- Taste and adjust seasoning
- Garnish with green onions or cilantro
- Serve hot 🥣
