🍲 Easy Dumpling Soup

Ingredients

For the soup

  • 6 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or salt to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional but delicious)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger (optional)
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables
    (carrots, peas, corn, spinach, or bok choy)

For the dumplings (quick & easy)

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup water (add gradually)

OR use store-bought frozen dumplings for extra convenience


Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Soup

  • Bring broth to a gentle boil in a pot
  • Add soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger
  • Add vegetables and simmer 5 minutes

2️⃣ Make Dumplings (If Homemade)

  • Mix flour, salt, baking powder
  • Add water slowly to form a soft dough
  • Scoop small spoonfuls (don’t roll)

3️⃣ Cook Dumplings

  • Drop dumplings into gently boiling soup
  • Cook 5–7 minutes until they float and puff up

4️⃣ Finish & Serve

  • Taste and adjust seasoning
  • Garnish with green onions or cilantro
  • Serve hot 🥣
