🎄 Christmas Avocado & Smoked Salmon Mousse
Ingredients
2 ripe avocados
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons cream cheese
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
Salt and pepper , to taste
100 g (3.5 oz) smoked salmon , diced
Optional Garnishes (Highly Recommended)
Fresh dill or chives, chopped
Capers
Lemon zest
Cracked black pepper
Instructions
1️⃣ Make the Avocado Mousse
Scoop avocado flesh into a food processor or blender
Add lemon juice, cream cheese, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper
Blend until smooth and creamy
Taste and adjust seasoning
2️⃣ Fold in Salmon
Gently fold diced smoked salmon into the avocado mixture
Reserve a little salmon for garnish if desired
3️⃣ Chill
Cover and refrigerate 15–30 minutes to firm up and enhance flavor
4️⃣ Serve
Spoon or pipe mousse into small glasses, verrines, or on toast points
Garnish with dill, capers, lemon zest, and smoked salmon

Serve with crackers , crostini, or blinis
Pipe into phyllo cups
Use as a sandwich or wrap spread

Extra creamy: Add 1–2 tbsp heavy cream
