Ingredients

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes (smooth, no lumps)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or mix)
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup milk or cream
  • 2 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped spring onions or parsley (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Mixture

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C / 400°F.
  2. In a bowl, combine mashed potatoes, egg, milk, butter, and flour.
  3. Mix until smooth.
  4. Add cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and herbs.
  5. Mix gently until well combined.

Step 2: Fill & Shape

  1. Grease a mini muffin tray or line with silicone cups.
  2. Spoon mixture into each cavity, filling almost to the top.
  3. Sprinkle extra cheese on top if desired.

Step 3: Bake

  1. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and puffed.
  2. Broil/grill for 2–3 minutes for extra crisp tops (optional).
