Steak Bites in the Air Fryer
These steak bites are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, and they come together quickly. Great for a quick dinner, meal prep, or when you want protein without much work.
What you need
Cut up 1 1/2 to 2 pounds of steak (sirloin, ribeye, or strip) into small cubes.
2 tbsp of olive oil
3 cloves of garlic, chopped up
1 teaspoon of salt
½ teaspoon of black pepper
1 teaspoon of paprika
½ teaspoon of garlic powder
½ teaspoon of onion powder
Optional: 1 tablespoon of melted butter to finish it off
How to do it
Get the steak ready.
Use paper towels to dry the steak cubes. This helps them get brown instead of steaming.
Time of year.
Put the steak in a bowl and drizzle olive oil over it. Add the garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix everything together really well so that every piece is covered.
Set the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it heat up for 3 to 5 minutes.
Make the steak bites.
Put the steak cubes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Don’t cook too much at once; do it in batches if you have to.
Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the food is browned and cooked to your liking.
Finish and take a break.
Drizzle melted butter over the top right after cooking to make it even richer. Before serving, let the steak bites sit for 2 to 3 minutes.
Advice
If you want it medium-rare, aim for about 6 minutes. If you want it medium-well, cook it for 8 to 9 minutes.
You can toss these with chimichurri, garlic butter, or serve them over rice or salad.
You can reheat leftovers in the air fryer for 2 to 3 minutes.
