For the Creamy Sauce

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional for extra cheesiness)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

🔥 Instructions

1. Preheat & Prep

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Make the Chicken Filling

  1. In a medium bowl, combine:
    • Cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and salt.
  2. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  3. Fold in the shredded chicken and parsley (if using).
  4. Mix until well combined.

3. Assemble the Roll-Ups

  1. Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles.
  2. Place a spoonful (about 2–3 tbsp) of the chicken mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
  3. Roll up, starting from the wide end toward the point, encasing the filling.
  4. Place seam side down in the prepared baking dish.

4. Make the Sauce

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together cream of chicken soup, milk, and seasonings (plus cheese if using).
  2. Pour the sauce evenly over the roll-ups.
  3. Sprinkle a bit more cheese on top if desired.

5. Bake

  • Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and the sauce is bubbly.

6. Serve

  • Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions.
  • Serve with a side salad, roasted veggies, or steamed broccoli.

💡 Tips & Variations

  • Add veggies: Mix in cooked spinach, broccoli, or mushrooms with the chicken filling.
  • Spicy version: Add diced jalapeños or a pinch of cayenne to the filling.
  • No soup can? Substitute with a homemade sauce: whisk together 1 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp flour, 1 cup milk, and chicken bouillon until thickened.
  • Make ahead: Assemble the roll-ups and refrigerate (covered) for up to 24 hours; bake just before serving.
  • Freezer-friendly: Assemble, freeze unbaked, then bake from frozen at 350°F for 35–40 minutes.
