🛒 Ingredients
For the Roll-Ups
- 2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or chopped (rotisserie chicken works great)
- 4 oz (½ block) cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (or mozzarella/Monterey Jack)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
For the Creamy Sauce
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional for extra cheesiness)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
🔥 Instructions
1. Preheat & Prep
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Make the Chicken Filling
- In a medium bowl, combine:
- Cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and salt.
- Stir until smooth and creamy.
- Fold in the shredded chicken and parsley (if using).
- Mix until well combined.
3. Assemble the Roll-Ups
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles.
- Place a spoonful (about 2–3 tbsp) of the chicken mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll up, starting from the wide end toward the point, encasing the filling.
- Place seam side down in the prepared baking dish.
4. Make the Sauce
- In a small bowl, whisk together cream of chicken soup, milk, and seasonings (plus cheese if using).
- Pour the sauce evenly over the roll-ups.
- Sprinkle a bit more cheese on top if desired.
5. Bake
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and the sauce is bubbly.
6. Serve
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions.
- Serve with a side salad, roasted veggies, or steamed broccoli.
💡 Tips & Variations
- Add veggies: Mix in cooked spinach, broccoli, or mushrooms with the chicken filling.
- Spicy version: Add diced jalapeños or a pinch of cayenne to the filling.
- No soup can? Substitute with a homemade sauce: whisk together 1 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp flour, 1 cup milk, and chicken bouillon until thickened.
