Cook Time: 1 hour
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can (14–15 oz) chicken broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix (Lipton-style)
  • Optional but recommended:
    • ½ tsp black pepper
    • ½ tsp garlic powder
    • 1 cup sliced onions or mushrooms
    • Fresh parsley for garnish

🍳 Instructions

1. Prep

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish.

2. Brown the pork chops (optional but adds flavor)

  • Heat a skillet with a little oil.
  • Sear pork chops 2–3 minutes per side until lightly browned.
(You can skip this step and bake raw — still delicious.)

3. Make the sauce

In a bowl, mix together:
✔ cream of chicken soup
✔ chicken broth
✔ onion soup mix
✔ pepper & garlic powder (optional)

Stir until smooth.

4. Assemble the dish

  1. Lay the pork chops in the baking dish.
  2. Pour the sauce over the top.
  3. Add sliced onions or mushrooms on top if using.

5. Bake

  • Cover the dish with foil.
  • Bake 1 hour (up to 1 hour 15 min for very thick chops) until tender.
  • Remove foil during the last 10 minutes if you want the top to brown slightly.

6. Serve

Serve chops with plenty of the gravy-style sauce.
Best served with:

  • Mashed potatoes
  • Rice
  • Egg noodles
  • Steamed veggies

💡 Tips & Variations

Creamier version

Add ½ cup sour cream to the sauce before baking.

Add potatoes

Place sliced potatoes or baby potatoes in the dish under the chops.
They cook in the sauce and turn buttery-soft.

Add mushrooms

Stir in a can of sliced mushrooms or 1 cup fresh mushrooms.

For boneless chops

Reduce baking time to 45–50 minutes.
