    • Honey

🔥 Instructions

1. Boil the water

Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a pot.

2. Add hibiscus

Remove pot from heat and stir in:

  • ½ cup dried hibiscus OR 4 tea bags

Cover and steep:

  • 10 minutes for strong tea
  • 5–7 minutes for lighter tea

The color will turn a deep ruby red.

3. Strain

Strain out the hibiscus flowers or remove the tea bags.

4. Add lemon

Stir in 2–3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice.
(The tea turns brighter and more vibrant.)

5. Sweeten (optional)

Add sweetener to taste while tea is still warm:

  • 2–4 tbsp honey, sugar, or low-cal sweetener
    Add slowly—hibiscus is naturally tart.

For iced tea:

Let cool, pour over ice, and garnish with lemon and mint.
