Golden Honey-Brie Wheel with Fresh Figs, Pears & Toasted Walnuts
Warm, gooey brie topped with soft figs, juicy pear slices, toasted walnuts, fragrant thyme, and plenty of golden honey.
A showstopping appetizer that comes together in 10β12 minutes.

Total Time: 12β15 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 whole wheel of brie (8β10 oz)
- 3 fresh figs, halved
- 1 ripe pear, thinly sliced
- 1/3 cup toasted walnuts, roughly chopped
- 3 tbsp honey, plus extra for drizzling
- 3β4 sprigs fresh thyme
- Buttery crackers, crostini, or baguette for serving
Optional:
- A pinch of flaky salt
- Extra rosemary or thyme for garnish
β Instructions
1. Prep
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
- Place the brie wheel on a small oven-safe dish, baking sheet, or cast iron skillet.
- You may score the top of the rind with a shallow βXβ to encourage melting, but itβs optional.
2. Arrange the Fruit & Nuts
- Place the fig halves on top of the brie.
- Fan the pear slices around or on top of the figs.
- Sprinkle with the toasted walnuts.
- Add fresh thyme sprigs.
3. Add Honey
Drizzle 3 tablespoons honey over the fruit and walnuts.
Add more to taste.
4. Bake
Bake for 8β10 minutes, until the brie is warm and gooey but not collapsed.
(The rind should feel soft when gently pressed.)
5. Serve
Remove thyme sprigs if woody.
Serve immediately with:
- Buttery crackers
- Warm baguette
- Crostini
- Apple slices
- Gluten-free crackers
Finish with an extra drizzle of honey and a pinch of flaky salt if desired.
