🎄 Pomegranate & Burrata Christmas Ornaments
Ingredients (Serves 6)
- 6 burrata balls (small / individual size)
- ½ cup pomegranate seeds
- ¼ cup finely chopped pistachios
- 2–3 tbsp honey or balsamic glaze
- 1–2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- Fresh mint leaves or basil for garnish
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
- Optional “ornament hooks”: small sprigs of rosemary
Instructions
1. Prepare the Burrata
- Remove burrata from the package and gently pat dry with a paper towel.
- Place each ball on a serving board or small individual plates.
2. Dress the Burrata
- Drizzle each burrata ball lightly with:
- Olive oil
- A small pinch of salt and black pepper
- This helps the toppings stick and enhances flavor.
3. Add the Toppings
Sprinkle over each burrata:
- Pomegranate seeds
- Finely chopped pistachios
Let them fall around the burrata and over the top for a festive “ornament” look.
4. Finish with Sweetness
Drizzle each ornament with:
- Honey — for a warm, golden shine
OR - Balsamic glaze — for an elegant dark ribbon effect
Either option pairs beautifully with burrata.
5. Garnish
- Add mint leaves or basil for a pop of green.
- For a true ornament look, stick a small sprig of rosemary into the top of each burrata ball like a decorative hook. ✨
6. Serve
Serve immediately with:
- Toasted baguette slices
- Crostini
- Crackers
- Warm pita
- Or as part of a festive grazing board
⭐ Tips
- Use cold burrata — it holds its shape better.
- For extra crunch, lightly toast the pistachios.
- Add orange zest for a fragrant citrus upgrade.
- Make ahead: prep the toppings separately, assemble right before serving.
