Ingredients

  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup whiskey (Irish whiskey is traditional, but any smooth whiskey works)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

Optional add-ins (if you want extra depth):

  • 1 tsp instant coffee granules
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½–1 tsp almond extract

🥣 Instructions

  1. Blend the base (low speed)
    • In a blender, add the heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and cocoa powder (and instant coffee if using).
    • Blend on low for just a few seconds until smooth.
    Tip: Don’t over-blend cream or it can thicken too much.
  2. Add the whiskey
    • Pour in the 1 cup of whiskey.
    • Blend again on low for 5–10 seconds until fully combined.
  3. Taste and adjust
    • Add more vanilla for sweetness, more cocoa for chocolate flavor, or a splash more whiskey if you want it stronger.
  4. Bottle it
    • Pour the mixture into clean glass bottles or jars.
    • Seal tightly.
  5. Chill
    • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before gifting or serving—this helps the flavors meld beautifully.

🧊 Storage

  • Keep refrigerated.
  • Lasts up to 2–4 weeks in the fridge (shake before using).
