- 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or a blend)
- 6 small flour tortillas (or 3 large, cut in half)
- Butter or oil for frying (about 1–2 tbsp)

1. Prepare the Tortillas
Cut tortillas into small triangles or strips if you want snackable pieces — or keep whole for big crispy rounds.
2. Heat the Pan
Add 1–2 tbsp butter or oil to a nonstick pan over medium heat until hot and shimmering.
3. Fry to Crispy Perfection
- Place tortilla pieces in the pan.
- Sprinkle a generous layer of shredded cheese over the top.
- Press lightly with a spatula so the cheese melts into the tortilla.
- Cook 3–4 minutes, until the bottom is golden and crisp.
4. Flip + Crisp
Flip and cook the other side for another 2–3 minutes until beautifully golden, bubbly, and crunchy.

Let cool 1 minute (they crisp even more!), then break apart and serve warm.
