🍞 No-Knead Homemade Bread (Beginner Friendly)
Ingredients
- 3 cups (360 g) all-purpose flour
- 1½ teaspoons salt
- ½ teaspoon instant or active dry yeast
- 1½ cups (360 ml) warm water
That’s it. No sugar, no oil.
Instructions
1️⃣ Mix
- In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and yeast
- Add warm water
- Stir until a sticky dough forms (don’t knead)
2️⃣ Rise
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a towel
- Let it rise 12–18 hours at room temperature
(overnight works perfectly)
The dough should double in size and look bubbly.
3️⃣ Shape
- Lightly flour your hands and surface
- Gently shape dough into a round loaf
- Don’t punch it down
4️⃣ Preheat
- Put a Dutch oven or heavy pot with lid in the oven
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) for 30 minutes
5️⃣ Bake
- Carefully place dough into the hot pot
- Cover with lid
- Bake 30 minutes covered
- Remove lid and bake 15 more minutes until golden brown
6️⃣ Cool
- Remove bread and let cool at least 30 minutes
- Slice and enjoy 🍞
🔥 Tips
- No Dutch oven? Use a baking tray + oven-safe bowl on top
- Want softer crust? Brush with butter after baking
- Want flavor? Add:
- Garlic & herbs
- Seeds (sesame, sunflower)
- Whole wheat (replace 1 cup flour)
