Baked Garlic Parmesan Fries
Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and loaded with garlicky, cheesy flavor—an irresistible snack or side!
Ingredients
4 large russet potatoes, cut into thin fries
3 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp paprika (optional)
½ tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prep the Potatoes
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Wash and scrub potatoes (peel if desired).
Cut into evenly sized thin fries.
Optional but recommended: soak fries in cold water 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
Drain and pat completely dry. - Season
In a large bowl, toss fries with:
Olive oil
Minced garlic
Salt & black pepper
Paprika and Italian seasoning (if using) - Bake
Arrange fries in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet (do not overcrowd).
Bake for 20 minutes.
Flip fries and bake another 15–20 minutes, until golden and crispy. - Add Parmesan
Remove fries from oven and immediately sprinkle Parmesan evenly over hot fries.
Return to oven for 3–5 minutes until cheese melts and lightly crisps. - Serve
Garnish with parsley.
Serve hot with ketchup, ranch, garlic aioli, or marinara.
Tips & Variations
For extra crispiness, broil 2–3 minutes at the end (watch closely).
Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor.
Air fryer option: 400°F for 16–20 minutes, shaking halfway.
