Crispy Air Fryer Sliced Potatoes

🥔 Crispy Air Fryer Sliced Potatoes

Serves: 3–4

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 15–18 minutes

Total Time: ~25 minutes

🌿 Ingredients

  • 3 medium potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet work great)
  • 1½ tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ tsp paprika (optional, for color and flavor)
  • Optional toppings: fresh parsley, Parmesan cheese, or a sprinkle of chili flakes

🔪 Instructions

1. Prep the potatoes

  1. Wash and scrub the potatoes (peeling is optional).
  2. Slice into ¼-inch (6 mm) thick rounds — you can use a knife or mandoline for even slices.
  3. Pat slices dry with a paper towel — dry potatoes = crispier results.

2. Season

  1. In a bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any extra seasonings.
  2. Make sure each slice is lightly coated.

3. Air fry

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
  2. Arrange potato slices in a single layer in the basket (work in batches if needed).
  3. Air fry for 15–18 minutes, shaking halfway through.
    • Thinner slices = crispier chips
    • Thicker slices = softer, roasted centers

4. Serve

  • Once golden and crispy, remove from the basket and sprinkle with parsley, Parmesan, or your favorite seasoning blend.
  • Serve hot and enjoy right away!

🍽️ Serving Ideas

  • As a side with grilled chicken, burgers, or fish
  • As a snack, dipped in ketchup, aioli, or ranch
  • Layer with cheese and bacon bits for loaded air fryer potatoes

💡 Tips

  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket — this ensures even crisping.
  • You can soak slices in cold water for 15–20 minutes before drying for extra crunch (removes excess starch).
  • Try seasoning variations: lemon pepper, Cajun, or Italian herbs for flavor twists.
