Sticky Honey Garlic Ribs
Ingredients
2 lbs pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
¼ cup honey
¼ cup soy sauce
3 tbsp brown sugar
3–4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
1 tbsp ketchup (optional, for extra glaze)
½ tsp black pepper
½ cup water
Optional: 1 tsp sesame oil, sesame seeds, green onions
Instructions
1. Prepare the Ribs
Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) .
Pat ribs dry and place them on a foil-lined baking sheet or in a baking dish.
Season lightly with salt and pepper (go easy—the sauce has soy sauce).
2. Make the Honey Garlic Sauce
In a bowl, whisk together:
honey
soy sauce
brown sugar
garlic
vinegar
ketchup (if using)
pepper
water
Pour half of the sauce over the ribs; reserve the rest for glazing.
3. Bake the Ribs (Low and Slow)
Cover ribs tightly with foil.
Bake for 2–2½ hours , until tender.
4. Reduce the Glaze
While ribs bake, heat the remaining sauce in a small pot.
Simmer on medium-low for 5–8 minutes until thick and sticky.
Set aside.
5. Finish the Ribs (Broil for Stickiness)
Remove foil and brush ribs generously with the thickened sauce.
Broil on high for 3–5 minutes , watching closely, until caramelized and sticky.
Brush with extra glaze before serving.
6. Garnish & Serve
Top with sesame seeds and chopped green onion (optional).
Serve with rice, potatoes, or a fresh salad.
